Mandarin Oriental Savoy Zurich
A legacy reimagined. It was my pleasure to frame such a radiant and elegant piece of architecture as the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich, originally built in 1838 and revealed after an extensive renovation as a refined contemporary landmark. With interiors by Parisian designer Tristan Auer, the hotel harmoniously blends historic grandeur with modern sophistication. I had the privilege of capturing the essence of this iconic destination in the heart of Zurich, focusing on its atmosphere and the thoughtfully curated art collection by fine art consultancy Velvenoir. Featuring 25 commissioned works with a strong emphasis on female voices in contemporary art, the collection reflects Zurich’s layered identity, a city where history and innovation meet, creating a subtle dialogue between past and present in spaces such as the opulent ballroom and the historic Zunftzimmer.
